Jami Mosque2, Topstartour.com

The mosque located on Chorsu Square of Kokand is known not only in Uzbekistan, but also far beyond its borders. Such rulers as Alim Khan and Umar Khan participated in its construction. There is a legend that before laying the first stone on the construction of a mosque, Umar Khan asked people if there were sinless people among them, because the first stone must be laid by a man with a pure soul. But no one dared, and Umar Khan laid the first stone with his own hand. So it received the nickname “Jannat Makon”, which means “worthy of paradise.”
